Early Life


Emma Stone’s real name is Emily Jean Stone. She was born to Krista Jean Stone and Jeffrey Charles Stone on November 6, 1988. Emma was born in Scottsdale and lived in Camelback Inn resort from 12 to 15. Her mother is a homemaker, and her father is the CEO of a company. Her younger brother is named Spencer. 

Stone went to Sequoya Elementary School as a child and later attended Cocopah Middle School. Stone’s panic attacks made it difficult for her to socialize as a child. According to her, acting and participating in local theaters helped her cope with the attacks and cure them. She dropped out of Xavier College Preparatory after a year of attending it to pursue her career as an actress. She convinced her parents to pursue her dream by showing them a PowerPoint presentation titled “Project Hollywood.” She moved to LA in 2004 but was initially unsuccessful at landing any roles. During that time, she worked in a bakery that made dog treats.
