Oliver Jackson-Cohen was born as Oliver Mansour Jackson-Cohen to Betty Jackson and David Cohen on 24th October 1986 in Westminster. His mother is a fashion designer while his father assists his mother in the business. His parents raised him as a protestant. During weekends, he used to attend the Youngblood Theatre Company.

He completed his high school from Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, a French school, because of his slight French accent. He then tried to enroll in drama school in London but failed to do so. So, he attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York but dropped only after studying for four months.

Before getting featured in films, he used to work as a vase washer.
