Early Life


Mackenzie Davis was born to parents Lotte and John Davis on April 1, 1987, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Lotte is a graphic designer, and John Davis is a hairdresser. Her parents are the owner of hair care company AG Hair. 

She completed her high school education from Collingwood School in 2005. Later, she studied at McGill University in Montreal. She studied acting from Neighbor Playhouse, located in NYC.

In 2013, she played the supporting role of Lauren Reynolds in the romantic drama film “Breathe In.” She played the role of Nicole in the romantic comedy “The F Word,” also called “What If?” in 2013. She played the role of Sue in “Bad Turns Worse” and the part of Sophia in “Plato’s Reality Machine” the same year. In 2013, she also appeared in a short film titled “Moontown.”
