Chloe Grace Moretz was born on 10th February of 1997 in the capital city of Georgia, Atlanta in the United States. She is the youngest child of nurse practitioner Teri Duke and a plastic surgeon, McCoy Moretz. She was raised in a Christian family with her 4 brothers, namely Brandon, Trevor, Colin, and Ethan, all her eldest.
Moretz attended Laurel Springs School, and she started getting interested in acting in her early childhood. She also used to help read the lines to her brother Trevor. She is an undergraduate as she was busy in her acting career since her early days.

Chloe Grace Moretz made her film debut in 2005 in the horror film, The Amityville Horror, where she appeared as Chelsea Lutz. Her performance in her film debut earned her Young Artist Award nomination in 2006. She also made her appearance in the film Heart of the Beholder and Today You Died in 2005.
In 2006, she dropped another major role in the crime drama film called Big Momma’s House 2, as Carrie Fuller. Her performance earned her second Young Artist Award nomination in 2007.
