Early Life
Todd Chrisley was born to Gene Raymond and Faye Chrisley as Michael Todd Chrisley on 6th April 1969 in Georgia where he spent most of his childhood. He has two siblings; Randy Chrisley and Derrick Chrisley. He admires his parents and is inspired by them greatly. During his youth, he was fascinated with bicycles and along with his brothers loved to cycle around town.

Career
Todd Chrisley started investing in real estate from a very young age. He had a contract with Fannie Mae, which helped him flip houses and sell them to make a good profit. He had also established Chrisley & Company, which he used to make investments in media, entertainment, and retail. Because of his business, he was already making a fortune at a very young age.
Chrisley Knows Best
He started his show “Chrisley Knows Best” which released on USA Network on 11th March 2014. The series revolves around his family with him being the controlling head od the family. The show stars his wife Julie Chrisley and his five children. He portrays Todd, a real estate tycoon, and a germaphobe. The show has eight seasons with 148 episodes. He pitched the idea f the show to ten different networks before getting picked up by the USA Networks. The series is filmed according to Chrisley’s schedule.
The series has mixed as well as negative reviews. It has 5/10 ratings in IMDb, 3/5 by Common Sense Media, and 6.4/10 by TV.com. The show has won NAPTE’s Reality Breakthrough award in 2015 and was also nominated for the 22nd Critics’ Choice Awards.
Todd was trying to talk to the broadcasters about a spin-off to the show which would focus more on Savannah and Chase Chrisley. He has also hosted “According to Chrisley’ in 2017, but the show got canceled due to the negative reviews by viewers. The 2015 planned spin-off of the show was announced in 2019 under the name “Growing Up Chrisley” which will follow Chase and Savannah on their journey to independence. It premiered on 2nd April of the same year.

Even, his show was growing, he announced for bankruptcy two times in his career. The first bankruptcy was filed in 2008 after his investment company Chrisley Asset Management couldn’t pay $30 million loans which it acquired for a failed housing investment. He filed for bankruptcy protection in 2012 after his debt reached $49 million against his wealth of just $4 million. The case settled in 2015, and he was asked to pay $150,000 compared to a debt of $49 million.
Todd Chrisley and his wife were again charged with bank fraud and tax evasion in 2019. They appealed not guilty blaming their crimes on an employee who they claimed to have been going rogue. They were released after a fine of $100,000 each.
He has also released his single “Infinite Love” in 2016 which managed to reach number 16 at the Billboard chart. He, with his family, launched a podcast titled Chrisley Confessions in 2018.

He married Teresa Terry in 1990 and has two children from the relationship. They went through a divorce in 1996 after Teresa accused him of domestic violence. He then married Julie in 1996 and has three children from the relationship. He also took full custody of his son, Kyle’s daughter Chloe after Kyle started having mental health issues due to drug addiction.
A rumor circulated of him being gay back in the day, but he denied all the stories and claimed to be straight with a loving wife.
