She was born to José F. Daccarett and Laura Char Carson on 10th April 1992 in Florida as Sofía Daccarett Char. She participated in the IMPAC Youth Ensemble Program while she was attending Motion Dance Studio during the high school year. Her last name Carson is named after her maternal grandmother. She is the first child of the couple and has a sister named Pauline.
She completed her high school studies from the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart. She then attended the University of California, Los Angeles from where she majored in communications with French as a minor subject.

She made her acting debut from the 2014 comedy series “Austin & Ally” as Chelsea. She was featured in the episode “Princesses & Prizes”. The same year, she was a guest actor in “Faking It” in the role of Soleli. She was featured in the episodes “We Shall Overcompensate”, and “Faking Up is Hard to Do”.
She made her film debut from the 2015 adventure-comedy television film “Descendants” as Elvie. The film was received in a positive way by critics. It has a view count of 6.6 million during its premiere in the Disney Channel. The same year, she voiced Elvie in the animated series “Descendants: Wicked World” which is based in the movie “Descendants”.
