Early Life

 

Charlie Carver’s real name is Charles Carver Martensen. He was born to parents Anne Carver and Robert Martensen on July 13, 1988, in San Francisco. Seven minutes after his birth, his twin brother Max Carver was born. His father was an author and a physician, whereas his mother is a community activist. 

After his parents divorced, he lived with his mother and step-father, Denis Sutro, in Napa Valley. 

He studied at Interlochen Arts Academy, which is in Michigan. In the year 2012, he got his degree from the University of Southern California. He also attended The American Conservatory Theater. 

In 2016, he came out as gay to the public via Instagram.

Charlie Carver was first seen acting on a stage when he was an eighth-grader. He played the role of Puck, the fairy trickster in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in his school.

He made his TV debut in the year 2008. He appeared in the show “Desperate Wives,” in which he played the role of Porter Scavo. His brother appeared in the front too.  They appeared in the show from 2008 to 2012 and appeared in 62 episodes spanning from season 5 to 8.

In 2012, he played the role of Hugh Thompson in the TV film titled “Fred 3: Camp Fred”. The following year, he played Dylan in the TV film “Restless Virgins.” 

Charlie and his brother played the roles of Ethan Steiner and Aiden Steiner, respectively, in the series “Teen Wolf.” They appeared in 20 episodes in the third and the sixth season. 

In 2014, he played the role of Scott Frost for five episodes in the first season of “The Leftovers.”

The same year, he went on and made a guest appearance in the role of Travis Kealoha in the TV series “Hawaii Five-0”. 

He played the role of Trophy Kevin in an episode of the sitcom “The League” in 2015. 

He portrayed the role of Michael in the TV miniseries “When We Rise” in 2017. 

He is to play the role of Huck Finnigan in the upcoming psychological thriller web series titled “Ratched.”

He made his film debut in 2013 with the film “Underdog,” in which he played the role of John Hanson III. 

The following year, he portrayed Eric in the action film “Bad Asses.”
