Early Life
Aubrey Plaza was born as Aubrey Christina Plaza to David and Bernadette Plaza on 26th June 1984 in Wilmington. She is the eldest siblings and has two younger sisters. She grew up as a Catholic. Her name came after the song Aubrey by the rock band “Bread.” During her school years, she had been a part of the Wilmington Drama League and was also the president of the Student Council.
She attended the Ursuline Academy and completed her high school from there in 2002. She then attended Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Later, She graduated with a degree in film studies in 2006.

Aubrey Plaza’s debut in the film industry came from a short role in the 2006 short film “Killswitch.” The same year, she was also part of another short film, “In Love” as Julie. In 2009, she portrayed Kelly Peters in the comedy film “Mystery Team.” She also made an appearance as Daisy Danby in “Funny People” the same year.
