Kent Christmas is most recognized for his work as the WWE’s physically trained; however, he has also been on channels such as ESPN, Deadspin, Extra, and The Jim Rome Show. He rose worldwide after winning a gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Kent Christmas was born in South Carolina on June 6, 1979. He also played basketball in high school, where he was a three-time All-Region selection and varsity starter for two years. When he got to college at the University of Illinois, he opted to play football instead of baseball.

He began as a linebacker but was converted to a tight end due to his quickness. He had a lot of fun playing athletics and was elected Student Association President at the University of Illinois. However, he was about to gain much greater fame.

Kent Christmas spent two seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts from 2001 to 2002. During that time, he had two touchdowns and 44 catches. Unfortunately, his football career was over due to a knee injury that kept him out for a spell, so he returned to college and earned a health and exercise science degree.

His ultimate objective was to become a physical trainer for the NFL, which he accomplished in the meantime. After getting a certified athletic coach in 2003, he was allowed to serve as an intern with the St. Louis Rams in their training camp.

He also served as an assistant athletic coach at Auburn University before joining Duke University as an assistant football trainer. While working at Duke, Kent met Mike Szabo, the WWE’s principal strength trainer. Kent began working directly with WWE’s chief strength coach, Tommy Vardell, as a graduate assistant strength coach at UCLA.

Vardell was so impressed with Kent’s work ethic and devotion that he hired him as a full-time assistant trainer consultant in 2004 while he was still working on his Ph.D. He became one of the most famous trainers and head trainers until 2009.

He has worked with some of WWE’s top stars, including John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, and Batista. Through his hard work and devotion, he gained a seat as a trainer at the famed Arnold Sports Festival while becoming a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He also defeated 30 other candidates to win the Best Trainer of the Year Award in 2010.

Kent’s father, Duane Christmas, was a starting defensive lineman at the University of Tennessee. Ken and Kenny are his two elder brothers. He also works as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for WWE. BooBoo is their dog’s name.

Karen, Kent’s older sister, lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where he has an accounting firm. She is married to Dick Miller, who works for Zaxby’s as a manager and cook trainer for all Zaxby’s locations in Georgia.

Kent also had a younger brother, Kenny, who played professional football in the Arena Football League for four years. Kent is married to Molly, her boyfriend from childhood in South Carolina. He has now retired. Kent Christmas and his wife married in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 23, 2011. Before getting married, they had been dating for about a decade.
