Fred Armisen was born on 4 December 1966 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the U.S. as a son of a mother, Hildegard Mirabal, and a father, Fereydun Armisen. His mother used to be a school teacher of Hildegard Mirabal Level, and his father worked for IBM.

Armisen got married to Sally Timms, an English singer, and songwriter but their married life was only from 1998 to 2004. Later, he married an actress Elisabeth Moss, but it was also only from 2009 to 2011. Since 2014, he was in a relationship with Natasha Lynne, who is also an actress, director, writer, and also known as a producer.

Fred Armisen moved to New York with his family when he was a baby and spent some of his youth in Brazil. He spent his childhood in Valley Stream, New York, where he joined high school and became a fellow SNL alumnus Jim Breuer classmate. Later, he had stated that he wanted to perform like the bands The Clash and Devo after watching their performance when he was in his childhood.

After playing drums in a local band with his high school friends in 1984 in Valley Stream, New Yor, Fred Armisen started his music career. Later, their group was ended, and in 1988, he was seen playing drums for the punk rock band Trenchmouth after moving to Chicago. After that, in the 1990s, he was seen playing the drums with Blue Man Group, formed in 1987.

Further, he had been seen playing the drums on three tracks of the Les Savy Fav’s 2007 album named “Let’s Stay Friends,” where he had also seen playing tracks for Matthew Sweet’s 2011 album, which is known as “Modern Art.” He had also played drums on Wandering Lucy’s 1996 album “Leap Year.”

Fred Armisen had also become the bandleader and frequent drummer of 8G Band and later, on 24 February 2014, he became the house band for “Late Night with Seth Meyers” which is an American late-night and also known as a news satire talk show which was hosted by Seth Meyers on NBC.
