Daughter of Eva Perez Suarez and Juan Carlos Mendez, Eva Mendes, was born on the 5th of March, 1974, in Miami, Florida. Both of Eva’s parents were Cuban. She was raised by her mother in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, after their parents split up. She has one older sister Janet and a younger step-brother, Carlos Alberto Mendez. She also had a big brother who died in 2016 due to throat cancer. Her father had a meat distribution business, and her mother used to work at Mann’s Chinese Theatre, who later started working at an Aerospace company.
