Dusty Baker has begun his baseball career with the position of an outfielder for the Braves in 1968. However, he has achieved most of the achievement as a player with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has also won the League Championship Series three times in 1977, 1978, and 1981.

Dusty has got the first-ever National League Championship Series (NLCS) as Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 1977. He also won a World Series title in 1981 together with the Dodgers. In 1986, he completed his eight full seasons with the Braves and the Dodgers, also temporary occupancy with both the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics.
