Oliver and his twin’s brother skipped school to attend an open audition in Leeds in 2000. After about six auditions, the twins were cast as Fred and George Weasley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Oliver was given the character of George, and James was given the character of Fred.
The twins featured as brothers in the fifth episode of the third season of the TV series Kingdom in 2009. In addition, the twin’s brother starred in A Mind’s Eye, a short documentary movie based on the philosophical ideas of Plato, in 2012.
