Betty was only 15 years old. Betty recorded her 1968 debut album “My First Time Around” and started her first hit song, “Girls Can’t Do What Guys Can Do.”
Betty Wright earned her biggest and most beloved shatter success with the supremely funky and sassy “Clean Up Woman peaked at #2 on the R&B charts and #6 on the Billboard pop charts in 1972. Moreover, Betty won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for “Where Is the Love?” in 1976. More songs like “Secretary,” “Tonight is the Night,” “If I Ever Do Wrong,” “Shoorah!
