Early Life

Leslie Mann was born as Leslie Jean Mann to Janet Ann Ayres on 26th March 1972 in San Francisco. Her father’s name is unknown, and Mann does not have a good relationship with him. She has five siblings; two biological and three half-siblings. Her mother is a businesswoman who designs and manages programs for Ayres Hotel Group.

She completed her high school studies from Corona del Mar High School. She had also attended Joanne Baron / D.W. Brown Acting School to study acting and later was a part of The Groundlings, an improv group. Her college is unknown; she studied communications at college but dropped shortly after.

Leslie Mann made her film debut as an extra in the 1991 film “Virgin High.” After the movie, she also had brief appearances in “Bottle Rocket” and “Cosas Que Nunca te Dije.” In 1996, she featured in “She’s the One” as Connie and “Last Man Standing” as Wanda. Her first significant role was in the 1996 black comedy “The Cable Guy” as Robin Harris. The movie received mixed critical reviews but managed to gross $102 million in the commercial market against a $47 million budget.

She was then featured in “George of the Jungle” as Ursula Stanhope in 1992 and as Corinne Maloney in “Big Daddy.” From 2000 to 2004, she made appearances in “Timecode,” “Perfume,” “Orange County,” and “Stealing Harvard. In 2005, she got her next significant role as Nicky in the sex comedy film “The 40-Year-Old-Virgin“. Both critics and the audiences loved the film, and it grossed $177.4 million in the box-office.

Leslie Mann was also a part of the 2008 film “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” as Bimini, but her role in the movie went uncredited.
