Bob Odenkirk: Better Call Saul star collapses on the set.
American actor and producer Bob Odenkirk best known for his role as Saul Goodman on AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” was taken to the hospital recently after collapsing on the New Mexico set of the show’s spin-off Better Call Saul during the shoot.
According to early reports, the 58-year-old actor was shooting a scene when he suddenly fell ill and fainted on the set and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for medical attention.
Better Call Saul – Final Season
Considered one of the best shows ever made by many fans and critics, Breaking Bad saw Odenkirk’s fame rise as the lawyer for Walter White. He was loved by fans so much that AMC decided to create a spin-off based entirely on his life and development, where we see a struggling lawyer named Jimmy McGill turn into the character we know and love as Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad.
Better Call Saul, the spin-off too, received massive applause from fans worldwide and went on to prove how good of an actor Odenkirk is. The show is currently in production for the sixth and final season, set to air in 2022.

The Lord of the Rings star was one of the firsts to Tweet about Bob’s health condition, and he wrote: “Oh man, really hope Bob Odenkirk is ok.”
Michael McKean, who appears as Jimmy McGill’s elder brother on Better Call Saul, Tweeted: “Sending huge love to our Bob Odenkirk. You got this, brother.”
His long-time friend and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston (Walter White) too urged his followers: “Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.”
The actor who also worked as a comedy writer for shows like Saturday Night Live and The Ben Stiller Show has received a lot of support from the online community and, thankfully, has started to recover.
On Wednesday, Odenkirk’s representatives released a statement saying that the star was now in stable condition after “experiencing a heart-related incident” that caused him to collapse on set.
His family has too released a statement thanking all the medical staff looking after him during these times.

Bob speaks out
Bob Odenkirk himself has officially spoken out about his condition recently and took to Twitter on Friday to thank his fans and well-wishers.
“To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week. And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and cares for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love, and it means so much,” he Tweeted.
“I had a small heart attack. But I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery,” he continued, expressing his gratitude in reply to his tweet, “Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level. I’m going to take a beat to recover, but I’ll be back soon.”
Bob Odenkirk has been nominated for four Emmys for playing the title character on the show, which portrays a down-on-his-luck lawyer named Jimmy McGill, who, striving to succeed in the law enforcement industry, becomes increasingly corrupt and adopts the pseudonym, Saul Goodman.
The spin-off first aired in 2015 following the conclusion of the main show Breaking Bad in 2013, where he is seen leaving the city into exile and starting a new life with a new identity, along with Walter White, after things go berzerk.

Although we have not yet seen how the final season ends, it is widely speculated that the story sees the development of Jimmy, who is an honest lawyer, in the beginning, turn into Saul Goodman that we see in Breaking Bad. Fans worldwide think that in the series timeline, the spin-off series ends right where Breaking Bad begins.
Other works and Honors
The star also recently acted in the action thriller movie “Nobody.” Released in 2021, the movie was a great success and had positive reviews from critics.
In total, Bob Odenkirk’s amazing acting career has seen him get nominated for 16 Emmy awards, of which he won two.
We wish Bob a speedy recovery and hope to see him back soon on our screens.
